August Travel Pack: Round 2!

Summertime is wrapping up and whether you are taking a road trip, spending the day between airports, camping by the lake or simply taking time to enjoy a day out exploring local destinations, it is essential to have a GP friendly on-the-go pack.  This was a great giveaway for July so I decided to keep it going for the summer!

After traveling twice by plane this year, both to Mexico and to Kansas in adddition to day trips, I've found ways to not just survive but feel good and satisfied.  The travel kit will include a protein Macrobar, sample of Plant Fusion Vanilla Protein powder, nut butters, fruit purees, ginger chews and digestive teas!

If you are interested in winning this package leave a comment below that you would like to be entered into the drawing and, if you choose, how it can benefit you.   Make sure to include your name so I know who to announce on 8/15.  If you don't plan on checking on that day then please include your email address as well so you can be reached.

Comments left from July are automatically entered again!

*This month 2 names were randomly chosen, one from both July and August!*

July - JoAllison
August - Janine Laci

I don't have either of your contact information so if you can please email me at stephanie@journeywithwellness.com

Thanks for participating!  Following the Awareness Walk for Gastroparesis in September, there will be a gift basket with items from participating vendors including GoMacro and The Ginger People.  Look for more details next month :)

  1. Hi! Enter me!
I would use these snacks for our rather long trips we take every 2 weeks to see my Grandmother. She lives way out in the middle of a rural community and it takes us about an hour and a half to get there. :)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

I found out I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was when we were without electricity for several days after the storms hit the Midwest. I would use it as a learning tool for that and in the hope that my hubby and I will be able to get a vacation sometime this summer(only ones in the family taking care of his mother with Alzheimer's ,can't be left alone). Would be most appreciative and thankful for this :-))

  3. What a great giveaway! I travel by car almost 6 hours a day during my 8-10 hour shifts at work on a regular basis and it's hard to eat well, especially during the summer months. These things would be great to keep in the car for on-the-go snacking.

  4. This would be great as I travel frequently by car with two young grandchildren. I am new to this so still learning what is good or not for me. The grandchildren always want to stop someplace where I cannot eat and this is a great replacement for me to have so they can eat where they want and I can have something too!

  6. I would love to be entered! It would be great to have some portable food to bring with me to picnics or family dinners when there aren't necessarily many foods that I am able to eat.

  9. LOVE your idea of the travel pack!!!! Always having problems finding ways to stay hydrated, especially out and about. Would love to be able to take this to work to show everyone I'm learning how to manage this thing and then I would take it to my July 30th dr. appt to share with him that there are actually people out there with some knowledge on the subject. :)

  11. My boyfriend and I love to travel. Being in Florida there are lots of things to see and do! When I got sick with GP I refused to let it keep me down. In April 2011, I was admitted to the hospital for exhaustion. The day I was released I went straight to Disneyworld because I didn't want to miss my neices 3rd birthday celebration. I had to spend the day in a wheelchair but I wouldnt have missed it for the world. I am not willing to let GP stop me from living my life. I have had to learn to adapt and make changes so I can continue to enjoy the things I love. This travel pack would help me continue with the good times! Thanks for the offer!

  12. I have been doing pretty good with making and keeping food in the freezer, but I'm most 'unprepared' on the days when I travel. Later this month I will be traveling again, and this handy travel pack would make my trip so much easier :) Thank you Stephanie, for all that you do and for continually educating us as we all deal with the frustrations that come with GP and other Digestive Health issues!

  13. I was diagnosed with GP in early June - just before I went on an overseas trip I had been planning for three years. Needless to say, the trip wasn't as carefree as I had hoped. I'm still coming to terms with the major changes I need to make (and with all the money I'm spending on acupuncture). This travel pack is a fantastic thing. Thank you for your generosity.
