Natural Vitality Giveaway

Tea is just one of my many favorite comforts that I did not have to give up when this digestive journey began.  In fact, there seems to be just as many tea remedies as you might find prescriptions in a pharmacy!  Later this month I'll be sharing some of my favorites when it comes to both caffeinated and herbal selections.  However, today I want to talk with you about an essential part of my daily routine.  I call it my vitali-tea, and I want nothing more than to give a reader the chance to try this as well.

This tea I speak of might already be well known to some of you.  It is actually a supplement magnesium powder from Natural Vitality called Calm Magnesium.  Sipped as a warm beverage in the evening, it literally provides a sense of calm and well being to both the mind and body.  This is due to the fact that magnesium helps our nerves and muscles function properly.  It is one of the best stress relief remedies I have found, (in addition to deep breathing techniques) to help unwind at the end of the day.  In addition, for anyone who suffers from constipation, magnesium may also help relax the walls of the colon.  In fact, Mark Hyman, M.D., talks about the many benefits here, calling magnesium the relaxation mineral.  He mentions "anything that is tight, irritable, crampy, and stiff -- whether it is a body part or an even a mood -- is a sign of magnesium deficiency."

I also recommend you check out the multi-vitamin as well, which comes in liquid form, perfect for those with gastroparesis who cannot tolerate supplements in pill form.
I'm so excited because NV has generously offered a giveaway this month for a $30 gift certificate! While I am not affiliated with Natural Vitality in any way, I am a big fan of their products and the philosophies behind them.  If you are interested in a chance to win this certificate, leave a comment below about what supplement (any kind) that has benefited you most on your journey.  The winner will be announced January 20th both on the blog and Facebook.  Make sure you are signed up for the newsletter to receive an email with notification.

***Congratulations to Kelly N. on winning the January giveaway!  Look for an email with more details.

Thanks everyone for your comments and sharing what supplements work for you.  It's always helpful to hear what works for you so we can continue to support each other on this journey :)

Some more about the philosophy behind Natural Vitality:

Natural Vitality is a purpose-driven company committed to one belief: The nutrient content of the American diet has declined over the last sixty years and this makes well-chosen supplements necessary for a healthy, sustainable. To that end, we have developed a line of premium-quality supplements based on research and formulated to produce a noticeable result. In addition, we believe that you

can’t be totally healthy in a toxic world and that real health also requires creating a sustainable environment and food system.

To achieve these objectives, Natural Vitality operates in two ways: First, we produce high-quality award-winning dietary supplements to assist individuals in achieving optimum health. And second, a percentage of product sales funds our Natural Revitalization environmental action initiative, a program that supports organic farming and environmental stewardship.

As part of this program, Natural Vitality works with groups such as Remineralize the Earth, the Center for Food Safety, and the Bionutrient Food Association, a nonprofit research, education, and advocacy organization dedicated to promoting and implementing natural ways to restore health and vitality to our soil and our food. Natural Vitality also helps educate consumers with a free award-winning online magazine, Organic Connections (www.organicconnectmag.com<http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.organicconnectmag.com&h=lAQGWOFRo&s=1>).

Natural Vitality believes that agriculture focused on quality, rather than quantity, is critical to our health. For our dietary supplements, we seek out organic whole-food ingredients wherever possible. All the fruits and vegetables we use are organically grown. The agave, stevia, and fruit flavorings are organic as well. This not only assures customers of no pesticide residues and no GMO ingredients but also provides financial support to organic farming.

Additionally, Natural Vitality products often contain patented forms of supplement ingredients. These are standardized for consistent potency and many are backed by clinical research. In every product, ingredients—including ones that play an auxiliary role—are incorporated in amounts that provide an optimum, noticeable benefit

Natural Vitality recently launched a NEW lifestyle e-mag called Natural Vitality living. You can find green tips, free healthy recipes, store specials, sustainable stores and more! Check it out here: www.naturalvitalityliving.com<http://www.naturalvitalityliving.com/>

  1. Through your posts I learned a lot about having the right supplements for my nutrient deprived body. I can't eat and fruits or veges at this point. I have tried several other vitamins, but nothing does it like Natural Vitality. Great flavor and it settles nicely in my unpredictable stomach. I also like Floravital for my iron needs. I can't wait to hear what tea's you suggest!

  6. I am a Calm devotee! My acupuncturist turned me on to it, and I take a teaspoon twice a day without fail. But for some reason, it's never occurred to me to take it as a tea - something to look forward to tonight! Like Deb, constipation has been an issue for me since I was two. My GP diagnosis last year only exacerbated the problem, until I started taking Calm. That and a ginger extract every morning have definitely helped me.

  7. First of all, best of all good things as you step forward with your healing.
I use Iberogast before meals, 3 times per day. I also love NatureWorks Swedish Bitters. Whenever the food just won't digest, I take the Swedish Bitters and within a couple of hours, the food digests. Also, like hot water with ginger and honey for nausea.

  8. I haven't tried this supplement but have wanted to. Drinking it as a tea is an interesting idea. Taking ginger caps and digestive enzymes with meals has been most helpful to me.

  9. I also have terrible constipation along with my GP! I haven't had a chance to try this yet, due to limited funds so would love to win this! I do use ginger chews and ginger tea, as well as putting coconut oil in almost anything I can. Thank you for keeping us up to date with these products and for your give always, they are so helpful for trying new products!

  12. Of all the remedies I've tried for constipation, stress relief, insomnia and pain, Natural Vitality's Natural Calm is the ONLY natural supplement that actually works for me without any adverse side effects. Best yet, it dissolves in water so I don't have to worry about pills getting stuck in my throat or choking. And it is not habit forming or harsh on the digestive tract. I look forward to nighttime, when I can curl up with a good book and a nice hot cup of Natural Calm to ease my way into Slumberville.

  13. OMG! Steph you are a MIND READER!!! My GP'er, Jonny, is SO STRESSED OUT RIGHT NOW, and I've been begging God to show me something to help him relax at least a little! This sounds like the answer I've been looking for! Multiple bonuses with the help it should provide for the constipation! Also checked out their Sports bath, Jonny already uses "soaking in warm water" whenever he has a really bad episode, so I'm gonna get some of this to have on hand for those times. Maybe it will work more quickly with the Sports bath added. (Remember, I'm aka Lora Howard on Green's Not Easy Family!)

  14. I am definitely going to try this as I am dealing with sleep issues. My favorite supplement at this time is Iberogast. I started using it about a month ago when I decided to stop taking Reglan, and it has helped my stomach tremendously!

  15. Haven't tried their products but my iron was low when I was pregnant and I was happy to find natural iron supplements!
